The Story of the Ancient World covers history from Creation at 4004 BC through the conquest of Persia by Alexander the Great at 330 BC. (A thorough and complete timeline of the events and persons encountered in the history is included in the back of the book.) However, it does not address the history of Greece, or the life and conquests of Alexander the Great. He only appears in the narrative as the ender of the Persian Empire. The history of Greece as well as the life and conquests of Alexander the Great are addressed in detail in The Story of the Greeks, which should follow The Story of the Ancient World in the history curriculum.
